Did you know that in addition to used books, FOPLA also accepts donations of audio visual materials? These include CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, audiobooks, and now, vinyl. Our customers love shopping our shelves for their favourite musicians, movies, and narrated books starting at just $2 per disc.
We’re always looking to grow our support of the Ottawa Public Library, and one way is by offering new products that continue to give our customers great selection. Beginning now, FOPLA will also be accepting donations of gently used vinyl/ records to expand our musical offerings.
Currently accepted types of vinyl for donation include:
We ask our donors to please ensure that records are donated in their intended sleeves, and to refrain from donating records badly scratched or with boxes and/or sleeves that are musty or moldy.
Donated records will begin appearing at our FOPLA stores across Ottawa in branches of the Ottawa Public Library. We will also begin offering them at our monthly Mammoth Sale in Nepean once we’ve collected a sufficient amount of inventory. To find the FOPLA location nearest you, please click here.
