2024 was a banner year for the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association. These are just a few of the ways we supported our Ottawa Public Library:
FOPLA donated $143,800 to support programming, special activities and branch enhancements across the City
240+ volunteers contributed more than 23,000 volunteer hours
Two new scholarships were awarded at the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College to support students pursuing careers inpublic librarianship
In May of 2024, FOPLA was thrilled to announce a major gift of $750,000 in support of Ādisōke, home of the new Central branch due to open in 2026
