Each year, the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA) holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) that is open to our Members*, volunteers, stakeholders, and interested community members.

Join us on June 29th, 2017 to hear from our Board of Directors and staff of the Ottawa Public Library on FOPLA’s successes and achievements over the past year. Attendees will learn about FOPLA’s operations, strategic planning, and donations to the Ottawa Public Library in 2016. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask the Board any questions you have about FOPLA’s activities throughout the year.

Members will be able to exercise their right to vote, either in person or by proxy, to help elect nominees to any vacant positions on the Board. If you would like to become a member of FOPLA before this year’s meeting, please click here for more details and to join now.

We’ll also present awards to all of the hard-working FOPLA volunteers who are celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25+ milestones with us this year.

*A FOPLA Member is defined as someone who has paid their membership fees, or an active volunteer who has received permission from the Board to waive the membership fee for a specific year.  Every Member in good standing has the right to vote in person or by proxy.
