We couldn’t be happier to announce that in 2018 we donated $375,000 to the Ottawa Public Library thanks to the support of our loyal customers and dedicated volunteers.
As a token of recognition to these thousands of community champions, organizations across the country will celebrate National Volunteer Week in Canada from April 7-13, 2019.
Helen Tweddle, a long-serving and dedicated FOPLA volunteer, was posthumously awarded the Ottawa Public Library’s (OPL) Order of Friendship award on October 9.
We’re excited to announce that The Friends’ Bookshop has moved to a brand new location inside the Main Branch of the Ottawa Public Library.
2017 was a wonderfully successful year for the Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA), as we launched a new website, increased our reach in the community, and gave the Ottawa Public Library our largest donation yet of $360,000.
