The Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association (FOPLA) has made the difficult decision to close down our online bookstore, Kind Reads (kindreads.com). The announcement follows extensive internal deliberations and analysis of the online store’s financial and operational viability.
Notice to our customers:
* The last date to place an order at kindreads.com is December 31st, 2024.
* Kind Reads gift cards will be honoured after the closure at 100 Tallwood Drive, at monthly Mammoth sales or browsing appointments. Call (613) 580-2424, extension 27875 to speak to a volunteer.
* All other areas of operation of FOPLA remain open and continue as usual
– our stores, self-serve shelves, Distribution Centre and monthly Mammoth sales.
We are deeply grateful for customer and volunteer support over the years. Although we are shutting the doors to our online store, we are excited to continue raising funds in support of the Ottawa Public Library through our used bookstores and sales across Ottawa.
